Charging Cable
The Hyundai Kona Electric 39 kWh requires a Type 2 cable with three-phase support (11 or 22 kW). A higher-rated cable is not an issue but will not increase charging speed.
Wallbox Charging Station
The most suitable wallbox is 11 kW (3 phases, 16A). Stations with higher capacity, such as 22 kW, will still charge at a maximum of 11 kW. If you have a single-phase installation, the maximum power will be 3.7 kW regardless of the station.
Connection to Electrical Panel
To use the full 11 kW capacity, a three-phase supply (3x16A) is required. You can install a three-phase station and temporarily use it on a single phase if you plan to upgrade in the future.
Mobile Charging Station
Mobile stations are suitable for home use as a practical solution.
