Charging cables and stations
The Audi e-tron 50 quattro uses a Type 2 (Mennekes) cable and supports three-phase charging up to 11 kW. Cables rated at 11 or 22 kW are suitable. Using a higher-capacity cable does not increase the charging speed but is fully compatible.
Compatible charging stations:
– 3.7 kW (1 phase, 16A) – charges up to 3.7 kW
– 7.4 kW (1 phase, 32A) – also up to 3.7 kW
– 11 kW (3 phases, 16A) – full compatibility
– 22 kW (3 phases, 32A) – charges up to 11 kW
Compatibility with the electrical panel
The maximum charging speed also depends on the electrical installation in your home. With single-phase power supply, charging will be limited to 3.7 kW. If you plan to install a three-phase power supply, you can set up a suitable station and use it temporarily with a single phase.
Mobile Charging Device
Mobile chargers connect to a standard outlet (220V) and are convenient for home use. The Audi e-tron 50 quattro requires a mobile charger with a Type 2 plug. Due to the 64.7 kWh battery capacity, these chargers are more suitable as a backup option or for emergencies.
