Choosing a Charging Station
The Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron supports charging up to 11 kW with a three-phase connection. You can use lower-powered charging stations if your electrical panel doesn’t allow for high loads. Using a charging station with higher power than the car’s capability isn’t a problem, but it won’t speed up the charging process.
Electrical Installation Considerations
The Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron can only use its full 11 kW capacity with a three-phase power supply of minimum 3 x 16A. If you don’t have three-phase power yet, you can temporarily connect the charging station to a single phase. With single-phase power, the maximum charging power will be 3.7 kW.
Mobile Charging Devices
Mobile charging devices (portable) are a convenient backup option. For the Audi Q4 Sportback e-tron, due to its large battery capacity (77 kWh), they are not recommended as a primary charging solution. Using a standard outlet, charging takes over 39 hours at 2.3 kW.
