Choosing a Charging Station
The maximum charging power of the Audi Q5 55 plug-in hybrid is 7.4 kW. This means that charging devices with higher power won’t charge faster, but can be used without issues. A charger with lower power is also possible, especially with limited electrical installation.
Electrical Installation Considerations
If you have three-phase power supply, you need to ensure that full 7.4 kW power can be used on a single phase. Otherwise, a charger with dynamic or manual load control is recommended. For single-phase installation, ensure there’s sufficient capacity for household use.
Mobile Charging Devices
Mobile charging devices are convenient for charging from a standard outlet (220V). With a battery capacity of 14.1 kWh, this is entirely possible, but it’s recommended to use mobile charging primarily as a backup option.
