Charging Stations and Cables
The Audi Q6 e-tron quattro uses a Type 2 (Mennekes) connector and supports three-phase charging up to 11 kW. For efficient charging, it’s recommended to use a cable rated for at least 11 kW, and if possible, 22 kW (though the vehicle will limit it to 11 kW).
Available charging station options include:
– 3.7 kW (1-phase 16A): max. 3.7 kW
– 7.4 kW (1-phase 32A): max. 3.7 kW
– 11 kW (3-phase 16A): max. 11 kW
– 22 kW (3-phase 32A): max. 11 kW
Installation and Electrical Panel Connection
Choosing the right charging station depends not only on the vehicle’s capabilities but also on your home electrical installation. If you have three-phase power (at least 3x16A), you’ll be able to utilize the vehicle’s full charging capacity. If you don’t have a three-phase connection yet, you can temporarily use single-phase charging at a lower speed.
Mobile Charger for Audi Q6 E-Tron Quattro
Mobile charging devices allow charging from a standard home outlet. The Audi Q6 e-tron quattro uses a Type 2 mobile charger. Due to the large battery capacity, this method is more suitable as a backup option or for emergency situations.
