Charging Cable for BMW I3 94 Ah
The BMW i3 94 Ah uses a Mennekes (Type 2) plug and supports charging up to 7.4 kW. A cable that supports at least 7.4 kW is mandatory. A 3.7 kW cable will not be sufficient. You can use both single-phase and three-phase cables – heavier cables don’t affect charging speed but provide more stability.
Charging Station for BMW I3 94 Ah
This model’s maximum charging power is 7.4 kW. The choice of charging station depends on both the vehicle’s capacity and your electrical network capabilities. You can use a charging station with higher power (e.g., 11 kW or 22 kW), but the vehicle will charge at up to 7.4 kW. If you have limited electrical panel capacity, you can also use a lower-power charging station, such as 3.7 kW.
Electrical Connection and Panel Load
If you have a three-phase installation, ensure you can use 7.4 kW on a single phase – this isn’t always possible. In this case, we recommend a charging station with manual or dynamic load balancing. If you have a single-phase connection, verify that your electrical system supports sufficient power for simultaneous use with other appliances.
Mobile Charging Device for BMW I3 94 Ah
Mobile charging devices are suitable for emergencies or as a backup option. They plug into a standard outlet (220V), but charging is significantly slower. Due to the high battery capacity, we recommend using the mobile charger primarily as a supplementary solution.
