Charging Cable for BMW i3s 94 Ah
The BMW i3s 94 Ah uses a Type 2 (Mennekes) connector and supports single-phase charging with up to 7.4 kW. It is essential to use a cable rated for at least 7.4 kW, as a 3.7 kW cable will not be sufficient. You can use both single-phase and three-phase cables — the heavier cables do not affect the charging speed but provide greater safety.
Charging Station for BMW i3s 94 Ah
The maximum charging power of this model is 7.4 kW. Charging stations with lower power, such as 3.7 kW, are also compatible but will increase the charging time. Higher-power chargers, such as 11 kW and 22 kW, can also be used, but the vehicle will charge at up to 7.4 kW.
Electrical Connection and Panel
The choice of a charging device also depends on the electrical installation. If you have a three-phase connection, make sure you can use 7.4 kW on a single phase. If this is not possible, we recommend using a charger with manual or dynamic load balancing. For a single-phase installation, it is important to ensure sufficient power and protection for the household.
Mobile Charger for BMW i3s 94 Ah
Mobile chargers plug into a standard household socket (220V) and are suitable for emergency situations or as an additional solution. Since the vehicle has a battery capacity of 27.2 kWh, a mobile charger (2.3 or 3.7 kW) is not optimal for daily use but can be useful in certain cases.
