Charging Cable for BMW I5
The BMW i5 features a Type 2 (Mennekes) connector and supports 3-phase charging with power up to 11 kW. To fully utilize this capability, we recommend using a three-phase cable rated at 11 or 22 kW.
Wall-mounted Charging Station (Wallbox)
The BMW i5 is compatible with wall charging stations up to 11 kW. Higher-powered wallbox units (e.g., 22 kW) can be used, but the vehicle will charge at a maximum of 11 kW. If your electrical installation doesn’t support 3-phase power, single-phase charging is possible, with the maximum power limited to 3.7 kW.
Portable Charging Station
Mobile charging devices offer flexibility and can be used with standard household outlets (220V). For the BMW i5, using such a charger is recommended only as a backup option or for emergency charging due to the high battery capacity.
