Charging Cable
The BMW iX2 xDrive30 / eDrive20 has a Mennekes (Type 2) connector and supports 3-phase charging at 11 kW. A 3-phase cable rated for 11 or 22 kW is recommended.
Charging Station
The maximum AC charging power is 11 kW. Charging stations with higher power won’t speed up charging but are compatible. The possible options are:
– 3.7 kW (1 phase, 16A)
– 7.4 kW (1 phase, 32A)
– 11 kW (3 phase, 16A)
– 22 kW (3 phase, 32A)
Electrical Panel Connection
The BMW iX2 xDrive30 / eDrive20 can charge using 3 phases (minimum 3x16A). If you currently only have single-phase power, you can still use a 3-phase charging station – it will temporarily operate on 1 phase.
Mobile Charging Device
The BMW iX2 xDrive30 / eDrive20 can be charged through a standard household outlet (around 220V) using a mobile charger. These chargers typically charge at 2.3 or 3.7 kW. Due to the large battery capacity, this method is recommended only as a backup option.
