Charging Cable for Hyundai Tucson PHEV
The car uses a Type 2 (Mennekes) connector and a maximum AC power of 7.2 kW. You need to use a cable rated at least 7.4 kW. A 3.7 kW cable will be insufficient, although you can also use a more powerful cable, which will simply not be utilized to full capacity.
Wallbox for Hyundai Tucson PHEV
The maximum charging power is 7.2 kW, so we recommend using a wallbox with at least 7.4 kW capacity. You can choose between 3.7 kW, 7.4 kW, 11 kW, or 22 kW stations. Higher-power charging stations are not a problem – they will simply charge up to the vehicle’s onboard charger limit.
Compatibility with Electrical Panel
When choosing a wallbox, it is important to know whether your installation is single-phase or three-phase. The car charges single-phase at 7.2 kW – make sure you have sufficient capacity on one phase. If needed, use a wallbox with dynamic load balancing.
Mobile Charger for Hyundai Tucson PHEV
For convenience, you can use a mobile charging station (portable charger) that connects to a standard household socket. A power level of 2.3 to 3.7 kW is recommended.
