Charging Cable for Lucid Air Touring
The Lucid Air Touring uses a Mennekes (Type 2) connector and supports three-phase charging up to 22 kW. To achieve maximum charging speed, use a cable with three-phase connection and at least 22 kW power rating.
Wall-mounted Charging Stations (Wallbox)
The Lucid Air Touring’s maximum charging power is 22 kW, making it ideal for use with high-end wall charging stations. If suitable power supply isn’t available, you can temporarily use a lower-power wallbox (e.g., 11 or 7.4 kW). Stations with manual or dynamic load balancing are recommended to avoid grid overload.
Electrical Panel Connection
To fully utilize the Lucid Air Touring’s power capabilities, you’ll need a three-phase installation with 32A. If you don’t have this available, you can start with single-phase charging and plan for a future upgrade. Smart wallbox solutions with dynamic load management are the safest and most efficient choice.
Mobile Charging Devices
Portable charging devices (mobile wallboxes) can be used with a standard household outlet (220V). They are suitable for emergency situations or when a stationary station isn’t available, but offer slower charging. They are primarily recommended as a backup option.
