Wallbox Stations for Volkswagen ID.3 GTX / GTX Performance
The Volkswagen ID.3 GTX / GTX Performance supports a maximum AC charging power of 11 kW. This means that even if you use a more powerful wallbox station (for example, 22 kW), the car will still charge at a maximum of 11 kW. If your home electrical installation does not support 3-phase charging, you can also use a lower-capacity station, but this will extend the charging time.
Mobile Charging Stations
Mobile charging stations are convenient for charging through a standard household socket. They usually provide between 2.3 kW and 3.7 kW of power and are suitable for situations where you don’t have access to a stationary station. Due to the large battery capacity of the ID.3 GTX, we recommend using mobile chargers mainly as a backup option.
Charging Cables for Volkswagen ID.3 GTX / GTX Performance
The car requires a Type 2 (Mennekes) cable and supports up to 11 kW with 3-phase charging. It is recommended to use a 3-phase cable rated for at least 11 or 22 kW to ensure full compatibility.
