Wallbox Stations for Volkswagen ID.3 Pro
The Volkswagen ID.3 Pro has a maximum charging power of 11 kW (AC). Even if you use a wallbox with higher capacity – for example, 22 kW – the car will still charge at up to 11 kW. It is also important to consider the type of connection in your electrical panel – single-phase or three-phase. With a three-phase connection, you can take full advantage of the car’s potential.
Mobile Charging Stations
Mobile charging stations (portable EV chargers) are a good option for charging through a standard household socket. The Volkswagen ID.3 Pro requires a Type 2 mobile charging station. Due to its 58 kWh capacity, this solution is recommended mainly as a backup or temporary option.
Charging Cables for Volkswagen ID.3 Pro
The car uses a Type 2 (Mennekes) cable and supports 3-phase charging up to 11 kW. For optimal charging, it is recommended to use a 3-phase cable with a capacity of at least 11 or 22 kW.
