Wallbox stations for Volkswagen ID.4 Pro Performance
The maximum charging power of the ID.4 Pro Performance is 11 kW. The fastest charging is achieved with a 3-phase wallbox station of at least 11 kW. A more powerful station (e.g. 22 kW) can also be used, but the vehicle will limit charging to 11 kW. With single-phase charging, the maximum power will be 3.7 kW.
Mobile Charging Stations
The Volkswagen ID.4 Pro Performance can also be charged using a mobile charging station that plugs into a standard socket. Suitable devices provide between 2.3 and 3.7 kW of power. Due to the large battery capacity, this type of charging is best used as a backup option.
Charging Cables for Volkswagen ID.4 Pro Performance
The car uses a Mennekes (Type 2) plug and supports three-phase charging up to 11 kW. It is recommended to use a cable rated for at least 11 or 22 kW, as both are fully compatible with the vehicle’s capabilities.
