Charging cable compatibility
Volkswagen ID. Buzz Pro has a Mennekes (Type 2) connector and supports three-phase charging with up to 11 kW power. It is recommended to use a Type 2 cable rated for at least 11 kW or 22 kW (three-phase).
Choice of a stationary wallbox
The maximum charging power is 11 kW. The following wallbox options are supported:
3.7 kW (single-phase, 16A): max. 3.7 kW
7.4 kW (single-phase, 32A): max. 3.7 kW
11 kW (three-phase, 16A): full compatibility
22 kW (three-phase, 32A): will charge at a maximum of 11 kW
It is important to check what type of electrical installation you have at home (single-phase or three-phase). With a single-phase installation, you will be able to charge at a maximum of 3.7 kW.
Mobile charging station (portable)
You can also charge via a regular household socket using a portable charging station. This is a convenient solution in emergencies or when you don’t have access to a wallbox. It is recommended that the station supports Type 2 and a power output of 2.3 or 3.7 kW.
